Paradise Lost: “The Beautiful Have Lost Their Way to Paradise”

Paradise Lost is an allegorical work, contrasting the sublime contemplative act of painting, set against an often predacious reality. The narrative action takes the eye across the picture plane, being carried in a circular fashion through secondary characters - to arrive at myself, tools of the trade in hand.  Magic Realism creates an adult fairy tale setting for this balancing act of the struggle for moral clarity.
